The girls missed Henry Ford in New York. Found in the archives at The Henry Ford Museum, this picture was taken by a Ford photographer at the New York Worlds Fair and sent to Detroit for Henry Ford’s Signature. Notice the signage on the hood in a lighter color, Worlds Fair, & Wash. Also notice the signage on the rear door, “Good Old Lizzy”.
Henry signed 7 pictures and sent them all to Darlene Dorgan , one for each of the 6 travelers. He requested that the 7th be signed by each of the girls and returned to him
This picture shows not only Henry Fords signature but also the signatures of the 6 gals who traveled to the New York Worlds Fair in the Silver Streak in 1939. It was found in the Henry Ford Museum Archives in June 2013.
