Laugh your way through Regina Fennell Butte’s recollections of her 1939 trip in the Silver Streak!
Kathleen Butte Grimes, daughter of Regina Fennell Butte had the foresight to sit down with a tape recorder and capture her mother talking about her experiences as a Gyspy Coed on the 1939 trip to the New York Worlds Fair. The recordings were made on March 22, 1998. Below in order are Tracks 1, 2 & 3. Enjoy!

    I can not tell you just how much I loved listening to Regina tell her story. I can “see” her telling it.
    I have now learned something about her that I never knew.

    It brings tears to my eyes to hear her and remember the many times being at the Butte farm as I was growing up.
    You all were and have still been the best neighbors I have ever had in my life. Ever.
    My memories remain despite the years that have elapsed.
    Don, Regina, and family will always be a part of my life that still brings a smile to me.
