PEORIA – Ruby P. Nutter, 89, of 725 E. Fairoaks died at 6:20 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30, 2003, at her residence.Born June 17, 1914, in Jefferson County, Ind., to Clarence and Grace McDonald, she married William L. Nutter on Nov. 8, 1947, in Hanna City. He survives.Also surviving are one son, David (and Pam) of Pekin; one daughter, Nancy (and Ivan) Brown of Smithfield; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Iola Boyd of Lakeland, Fla.
She was preceded in death by two sisters.
She worked in baby care at Florence Crittendon Home and also had worked for Lacon Woolen Mills in Lacon.
She was selected to have dinner with Henry Ford at his home in Detroit, and her photo hangs in the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Mich.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Bradford.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Bradford Cemetery. The Rev. William Carter will officiate. Arrangements are by Wilton Mortuary.
